Essays In Maritime Studies Vol Ii

The book edited by Prof. B. Arunachalam (Retd) is a compilation of selected papers presented during the annual seminars and monsoon lectures of the Society during the period 1993-2000. It has a total of 28 essays under five broad themes – Traditional Shipbuilding, Ancient and Medieval Ports, Traditions of Indian Navigation, Nautical Cartography and Coastal Ecology. It is hoped that these essays may trigger research and enquiries into our maritime past. The Maritime History Society will be more than willing to assist genuine researchers in their endeavors.
